WDNY AM-1400 will broadcast the Geneseo At Dansville 11-12 year old title game at 6pm Monday night. The game will also be "streamlined" on computer so EVERYBODY can tune in! Go to www.wdnyradio.com & click on the "live broadcast" tab....there will be audio present the minute the broadcast begins at about 6pm.

I need to get scores from allstar games as soon as possible. Since only the JR/SR submit during the regular season the coaches for the younger ages may not be familiar with sending in scores. So any help in reporting scores from managers/coaches/league presidents would be great. All scores can be sent to:
scores@nydistrict3.com
include the game date, team scores, pitch counts for both teams, and for 9/10, 11/12 include the defensive innings played in the field.

Just a reminder for reporting allstars scores for the 9-10, 11-12 ages, be sure to let me know how many defensive innings each team played. This would be used in a third tie breaker situation for determining the RA Ratio.

Reminder: I will be at LeRoy Village Hall Sunday 1:00pm to sign All-Star paperwork. Again this year for the Junior & Senior All-Star tournaments the Genesee Valley Umpires http://www.gvua.com/ will be umpiring the games. JR/SR only. If you have any questions let me know.

For District Junior All-Stars the correct time for Sat/Sun is 1:00. It is listed correctly on the bracket page but was listed incorrectly on the game list view as 3:00.

I would like to thank everyone who has been sending in game scores and pitch counts. It's important that everyone keep up with reporting the scores and pitch counts so it is fair all around. There's only so many times I can send emails or make phone calls to the large amount of teams we have. I know the schedule has been very crowded and it becomes difficult for the teams that have played many of their games to find pitching. We can try and find a solution for next season but for now let's try and get as many games in as possible before allstars begins for those playing.

9-10, 11-12 will be playing in Pool Play
11, JR, SR will be playing in a double elimination bracket for each age.
Brackets and Pool Play positions were randomly chosen at today's district all-star meeting with league presidents/representatives in LeRoy.
Mon, June 9 - 2008 All-Stars
There will be a All-Star meeting for League Presidents/Representatives on Saturday June 14th 1:00 at LeRoy Village Hall.
President/Reps: Please confirm my email or phone message that you will be attending if you have not already.
Be sure to bring your league map boundary's.
I have some of section, state brackets following our district 3 all-stars from the state meeting this past Saturday. I'll try and put those on the site in the next few days.

The site has been having some UNPLANNED issues today. The most important part, our database where the schedule is located has not been working. This is a server side issue that our web host is working on to fix. As of 4:45 the schedule is back online. Sorry for the trouble this may have caused.

A reminder to league presidents make sure you submit your league rosters to Williamsport(online) if you have not already done so. If anyone needs any waivers to be signed they must get them to me within the next week or two so I can send them for approval before all-stars. If there are any contacts missing on the contact page that you have let me know. The district schedule can be considered final now.

In the calendar view team names are shortened to fit in that day. You can get the names from the list view. For the schedule, each team should have the same number of home & away games. Some teams might have more games scheduled if they are not playing in All-Stars. I will go over more on the schedule at the meeting on Sunday.
I sent emails out today reminding everyone of Sunday's 11:00am meeting at Leroy Village Hall. League presidents, managers and coaches, junior and senior representatives should attend. We can adjust the schedule at the meeting if there are major conflicts. Also take a look at this years contact list and send me any missing or updated information.

If you sent an email to jim@nydistrict3.com or scores@nydistrict3.com this offseason there was a good chance I didn't get it. There have been alot of problems with normal mail being marked as spam, and there was so much coming in most mail was deleted right away. The problems with this have been fixed, and the emails will still be used for this season. Sorry for any trouble this may have caused.
